Ozone Disinfection - How Does Ozone Disinfection Work


Ozone disinfection is a method of sterilising surfaces and micro particles floating in the air as well as mould spores, fungi, dust mites and even bed bugs.

When our powerful commercial grade ozone generators produce high concentrations of Ozone (O³) gas into an enclosed space, and the ozone gas reaches a specific concentration for a specific exposure period, the Ozone kills bacteria, mould spores and fungi, and damages the cell wall and protein spikes of viruses neutralising them on all surfaces, all objects, all equipment and most importantly any microparticles floating in the air and inside air ducts or air filters.


During the Ozone Disinfection cycle, Ozone gas fills the enclosed area quickly and the third atomic particle attaches to bacteria, mould, fungi, viruses and other organic matter on surfaces, objects, fabrics or micro particles floating in the air. This oxidisation process eliminates the third Oxygen atom that exists in Ozone (O³). What is left behind is a totally disinfected area where the only residue is clean fresh (O²) Oxygen.
